Questioning Faith? Bath Apologetics Day

This will be a one-day event in Bath on Saturday 1st February at All Saints Church, Weston to hear speakers from OCCA The Christian Centre for Apologetics talk about some of the big questions that society faces in todays culture and is aimed towards young adults (18-30s, for both Christians and non-Christians).

It will be a day of talks, discussions and a time to ask your questions about faith. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day.

Come along and please invite a friend. The day starts at 10 am and doors will be open at 9:45 am.

Alanzo Paul

Alanzo has theological degrees from Oxford and the University of Toronto. He constantly aims to use his training to impact people on a personal level, particularly the younger generations. Alanzo leads OCCA’s Reboot Team which serves to engage the youth and challenges them to join in the larger conversation on the intersection of faith and reason.

Ben Thomas

Ben brings a unique blend of medical expertise and theological insight to the table. Qualifying as a doctor in 2003, Ben’s career spans full-time hospital work to a formative year at the OCCA and the University of Oxford studying Theology and Apologetics. His studies concentrate on the tensions of medical ethics, faith and sexuality, and the interplay between psychology and gender identity.

Cristo Rodriguez

Cristo has a background in Modern Foreign Languages and Religious Education in secondary schools. He has been involved in education for over 20 years in one form or another. Having worked in schools abroad with the British Council he worked in Alternative Provision, Youth Work, and the voluntary sector, as well being Managing Director of a Christian Education Charity and recently a Chaplain.
