About this Event
To mark World Heart Day, join the Irish Heart Foundation and our panel of experts on Tuesday 1st October for a free webinar.
The webinar will:
- Explain why every woman is at risk of heart disease and stroke.
- Highlight the women-specific risk factors and key symptoms of heart disease and stroke.
- Provide you with the tools to help you live a heart-healthy life.
‘Her Heart Matters 2024: What Every Woman Needs to Know’ will bring together a panel of experts for an open conversation on how to prevent and deal with heart disease and stroke. The panel will share lots of practical information to help women at all stages of life. The webinar will encourage you to talk, share and empower others to look after their hearts too.
How concerned should women be about their risk of heart disease and stroke? What are the key symptoms to be aware of? What questions should women ask their healthcare provider? With such busy lives, how can women make small, sustainable changes to look after their hearts? Find out all this and more.
Chaired by RTÉ Today Show presenter Maura Derrane, our speakers include:
- Dr Angie Brown, Medical Director of the Irish Heart Foundation and Consultant Cardiologist at the Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin
- Dr Louise Fitzgerald, GP with special interest in menopause and women’s health and founder of inforMD.ie
