Join us at Dumble Farm for an art class with a difference. Entitled ‘A Little BIt of Yorkshire’, we are focusing not just on Highland cows, but on wellbeing, wildlife and wonderful Yorkshire food.
This relaxed and creative afternoon will start with an introduction to the farm and conservation scheme. Then join Farmer Fi for a wildlife walk; incorporating some local history and legends. There will be a focus on mindfulness and appreciation of the beautiful, peaceful countryside.
At the idyllic pond, our art teacher Louise, will lead the gathering of subject matter, choosing flowers, leaves or whatever catches our imagination to paint.
Back at the farm the art class begins. Lousie will provide plenty of guidance to create a watercolour painting of whatever you have chosen.
A visit to Dumble Farm will of course involve meeting the cows, so whilst your food is prepared, there will be the opportunity to meet the young Highland cows in the barn.
To round off the afternoon, and keeping with the theme of connecting with the Yorkshire countryside, a grazing board will be waiting for you. This will be filled with both home made and locally produced, savoury and sweet items, showcasing our wonderful county.
The Dumble Farm bar will be open for alcoholic drinks, all from the area of course, plus tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available. The Dumble Farm gift shop has a range of Highland cow themed items; should you wish for a browse before you leave.
The tour price includes, a guided wildlife walk, watercolour art class, Highland cow meet and greet and grazing board with a hot or soft drink.
This event will run from 1:30-5, on Sunday 4th of August
£55 per person
Over 18’s only
