Недаром сам М.Горький писал в 1910г, что написал пьесу о матери. В этой пьесе нет революционеров, нет преступления главы семейства, а есть Мать, которая борется за будущее своих детей всеми доступными ей средствами. Она готова хитрить, лгать, интриговать, лишь бы не потерять контроль над семейным благополучием.
Но может ли такой жесткий контроль принести счастье? Вот вопрос, не потерявший актуальности за прошедшие 116 лет.

A Play About Family
It is no coincidence that Maxim Gorky himself wrote in 1910 that he had created a play about a mother. In this piece, there are no revolutionaries, no crime committed by the head of the household. Instead, there is a Mother who fights for her children's future using every means available to her. She is willing to scheme, deceive, manipulate, and maneuver—anything to maintain control over her family's well-being.
But can such rigid control truly bring happiness? That is the question that remains just as relevant today as it was 116 years ago.
Theatre33 invites you into Vassa's home, reimagined within the modern world of corporations and executive power in this production.
