                  We are delighted to present Ó Bhéal’s 13th Poetry-Film competition screenings, in the Cork Arts Theatre. Irish Poetry Film Shortlist - Sunday 2nd Nov @ 1pm
International Poetry Film Shortlist 1/2 - Sunday 2nd Nov @ 3pm
International Poetry Film Shortlist 2/2 - Sunday 2nd Nov @ 4.30pm
The shortlists will also be streamed online on Monday 3rd November, simulcast via our Livestream Stage (link below), and on our Vimeo and YouTube channels @ 6.00pm (Irish Shortlist), 7.30pm and 9.00pm (International Shortlists). Times are in Irish Standard Time.
Judges Colm Scully & Paul Casey, will select one International winner to receive the Ó Bhéal International award for best poetry-film, designed by glass artist Michael Ray, plus a cash prize of 500 euros. The best Irish Poetry Film will win a cash prize of 250 euros. Winners will be announced directly after the shortlist screenings at the Cork Arts Theatre, and online on Monday 3rd November.

An introductory online course on poetryfilm as part of the Ó Bhéal Poetry Film Festival 2025. Join Colm to learn about the art of poetry film and gain the basic technical skills required to make them. There will be a follow on session online in December to watch what people have created and share our learnings.
Colm Scully is a Cork poet and poetryfilm maker, His poems have been published in Poetry Ireland Review, Cyphers, Orbis and elsewhere. His films have been screened at Cork International Film Festival, Fastnet Film Festival and Indie Cork. He has completed workshops in Poetry film at festivals and events throughout Ireland, and at the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh. Learn more at colmscully.com
