£2 Talk 15 April 7:30pm - Raising Confident, Resilient Kids: Practical Strategies for Real Life with Max Marshall @lifeeducationwithmax founder and teacher.Supporting children through the pre-teen and teenage years can feel increasingly complex, particularly if they’re struggling with low confidence, overwhelming emotions, or a tendency to give up very easily when things feel difficult.
This strategy-focused workshop is designed for parents who want to support their child in developing self-confidence, emotional resilience and internal motivation. We’ll explore everyday challenges many young people face, including:
- Avoiding challenges (e.g. homework!), fear of making mistakes and giving up quickly
- Friendship problems or feeling left out
- School anxiety, emotional outbursts and overwhelm
- Negative self-talk
You’ll be introduced to clear, practical strategies that can be used at home to help children cope with setbacks, manage emotions effectively, stay motivated when things feel hard, and build a stronger sense of belief in their own abilities.
What you’ll come away with:
- Easy-to-use techniques to help your child manage their emotions, cope with setbacks and feel more confident when facing challenges
- Effective language and approaches to respond to negative self-talk, avoidance and low motivation in a supportive but constructive way
