ZRS Fossils and Gifts leads two annual GeoTours specifically designed to thrill anyone with an interest in geology, paleontology, unique cultural experiences and extraordinary travel adventures. We currently have only a few spaces still available for our 2026 FALL "New Horizons" GeoTour, scheduled to take place from October 6th through the 23rd. We offer two separate Moroccan adventures (Spring and Fall) with unique routes and varied daily itineraries with each covering approximately 2500 kilometers, including all major environments from high mountains to vast deserts and the North Atlantic Ocean as well. Participants will spend either sixteen active days on the ground visiting mine sites and dumps for minerals, primary outcrops and famous sites for fossils, along with amazing agate localities. Included will be stops to visit local miners, villagers and Moroccan fossil, mineral, agate and meteorite dealers.
In addition to collecting a great variety of unique material, you will have opportunities to explore the enchanting cities of Marrakech, Rabat and Essouira -- tour quaint southern villages and visit remarkable Berber families in their goat-hair tents and mud-brick homes – explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and other World Heritage sites, traverse incredible landscapes of the Dades Valley, the Tizi ‘n Titchka pass, the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, the great Sahara dunes of the Erg Chebbi, the glorious Atlas mountains, fragrant Valley of the Roses, lush cedar forests and magnificent Atlantic Coastline. You are sure to be impressed with the gracious hospitality of the Berber people as you engage with Moroccan collectors and their families and visit spectacularly interesting villages, artisan areas, markets, cultural museums, gardens, ancient ruins and historical sights -- all with abundant photographic opportunities and amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences to treasure and share with your family and friends.
