ZEST Private Red Coat Tour: Exeter's Catacombs & Lunch at Bill's
About this Event
You'll be welcomed by Sarah, founder of ZEST Singles, before settling in for an enjoyable day with fellow singles. Whether you're joining us for the first time or are already part of the ZEST community, these events are designed to feel relaxed, welcoming and unhurried.
We'll begin with an exclusive Red Coat Guided Tour exploring Exeter's fascinating Catacombs, churches and cemeteries. Hidden beneath the city walls, the Victorian catacombs were built to house around 1,400 coffins in individual brick-lined vaults and offer a unique glimpse into Exeter's history. Our guide will bring these remarkable stories to life as we explore one of the city's most unusual historic sites.
We will meet promptly at 10.30am at the Devon War Memorial, Cathedral Green, Exeter (please see the map at the bottom of the page).
Our guide, Sue, has been a dedicated Red Coat volunteer for over ten years and brings a wealth of knowledge. She has been leading tours for ZEST Singles for the past three years and has become a familiar and much-loved face within our community.
After the tour, we'll stroll over to Bill's, where we have a table booked for 12.45pm to enjoy a relaxed lunch together.
Please note: A small number of places are available for lunch at Bill's only, if you would prefer to join us after the tour.
Who Can Attend
Open to singles over 50.
You're very welcome whether it's your first ZEST event or you've attended before. Many guests come along on their own.
