We're incredibly excited to be returning to St. Nicholas Priory this September - Exeter's oldest building, and one of our favourite investigations in the South West.
Founded in 1087 by William the Conqueror, this building has been standing for nearly a thousand years. It was home to Benedictine monks for over 400 years before the Dissolution. It became a Catholic mission, a merchant's house, a set of dwellings, a museum. It has been so many things to so many people - and apparently, some of them are still here.
The reports from this building are wonderfully specific. An angry male presence upstairs. Children's voices in the dining room. In the kitchen, the sounds and sensations of someone still going about their chores - centuries after the monks left. Shadowy figures in the corridors. Unexplained cold spots. Poltergeist activity. Every visit produces something new.
On this night we'll be running a full Ghostly Nights investigation across the whole priory - EVP, spirit box, dowsing, vigils and free roam time in one of the most atmospheric buildings in Exeter. Small groups, our experienced team on hand all night. No theatrics. Just genuine investigation in a truly historic space.
