About this Event
ATTENTION DUELISTS! This tournament follows a special rule:
- Graceful Charity is treated as Limited instead of Forbidden for this event.
-Admission: Instead of an entry fee, you must bring at least 5 food products and any number of other items requested by Success Project, a local food pantry located in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Please reference this donation list and DO NOT deviate from it. For products with expiration dates, nothing expiring before March 2025 will be accepted. Food products 10.5oz and above will each count as a single item; anything less than that will have to add up to a minimum of 10.5oz to be counted as one item. Players that do not bring the requisite items will not be allowed to buy into the event another way and will be turned away.
-You MUST have a Konami Card Game Network ID (KCGN ID) to participate. If this is your first time playing in a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament at our store, please bring your KCGN ID card/number with you. If you don't have one, you must register for one on the My Konami website or the Yu-Gi-Oh Neuron app PRIOR to enrolling in the tournament. Please also familiarize yourself with tournament rules and policy before coming to the store.
-The tournament is Advanced Format (with Graceful Charity treated as Limited instead of Forbidden) with a number of rounds of Swiss based on attendance (4-8 players = 3 rounds, 9-16 players = 4 rounds, 17+ players = 5 rounds). Rounds are 45-minute timed best-of-three-game matches. End-of-round procedure is:
- When time is called, the active player will finish the Phase of the turn they're in, then if the game hasn't concluded yet, the Life Point (LP) values are compared.
- If LP are different, the player with higher LP at that moment will win that Duel, otherwise that Duel will end in a Draw. Then the number of Duel wins will be compared.
- The player with more Duel wins will be declared the winner of the Match, otherwise if they're tied the Match will be declared a Draw.
-Each player will receive 2 OTS packs just for participating in the tournament. Additional prizes are awarded at the conclusion of the tournament based on match points (scored 3 points per win, 1 point per draw, 0 points per loss) as follows:
- 1st Place: Black OTS Backpack
- 2 boosters per match win and 1 booster per match draw, from the Holiday Charity Tournament prize kit provided by Konami.
- All leftover boosters from the prize kit will be awarded to players based on final standing and attendance.
- Additional prizes provided by our store may be added to the prize pool or used as raffle door prizes at our discretion.
-We're also running a Seasonal Tournament Leaderboard which uses the results of each tournament to determine and award special prizes to the top finishing players at the end of each season. In addition, most tournaments will feature Bounty Duelists, which at minimum will always include the current top-positioned Leaderboard players, who if defeated will earn you a bonus OTS pack!
