Friday Night Magic - Standard

Join us every Friday at 7:00pm for a series of Magic: the Gathering events! Play in one of our main tournaments or a side event. There’s something for everybody with lots of free giveaways during this casual, laid-back game night!

Main Events:

• Booster Draft ($20 entry, 7:00pm start time)

• Standard (Free, 7:00pm start time)

• Pioneer (Every other Friday - $10 entry, 7:00pm start time)

• Modern (Every other Friday - $10 entry, 7:00pm start time)

Side Events:

• Commander (28 player cap - reservation available)

• Basic (Free)

• Sealed League open-play

• Special Events (Some weeks will have a special side event. Be sure to check our Event Collection Page for details on all upcoming Magic: the Gathering events.)

The game room's four main table rows will be reserved for Booster Draft, Standard, and either Pioneer or Modern (depending on the week), and Sealed League. The game room's seven wargame tables will be reserved for open-play 4-player Commander pods (reserve a table for your playgroup in advance, $8 fee).

As a bonus side activity, players may challenge the staff (or other players) between rounds in our store custom format – Basic to win promo prizes*.. A table for spell slinging will be set up for challenges. Borrow one of our pre-made decks or try creating your own! Players can also participate in our Sealed League to earn even more promo prizes (rules for Basic format and Sealed League can be found here)

• Players playing in the Booster Draft earn two play boosters per match win (one per match draw). All players participating in Booster Draft will receive a random promo prize*.

• Players playing Standard earn two random promo prizes* per match win (one per match draw). All players participating in Standard will receive an additional random promo prize*.

• Players playing Pioneer or Modern earn $6 store credit per match win ($3 per match draw). All players participating in Pioneer or Modern will receive a random promo prize*.

• Comander players will be directed to their reserved table. Players in a group that have checked in to the event with their wizards account receive a random promo prize* and a voucher for a free drink from our fridge. Fees will not be refunded if a group never arrives for the reserved table or fails to cancel their reservation before the event begins (7PM Fridays).

*Promo prizes include past and current promo cards and accessories like secret lair cards, box toppers, promo pack cards, older event promos, life counters, dice, and more! See the image below for a sample of what could be won.

All players will be required to check into their chosen event with a wizards account. You can create a wizards account at https://myaccounts.wizards.com/register, on the magic companion ap (most recommended), or at the store (our staff will be happy to help you register).
