Join Commodity Re-Founder Vicken Arslanian, alongside Symrise Master Perfumers Christelle Laprade and Nathalie Benareau of Symrise, for a special Master Class in celebration of International Fragrance Day, 3/21.
“Becoming a Perfumer” is an immersive experience designed to bring you closer to the art and science behind fragrance. Together, we’ll explore what it truly takes to become a perfumer, while demystifying the fundamentals of fragrance composition.
During this interactive session, you will:
• Gain insight into the path to becoming a perfumer—from education to industry
• Understand how fragrances are structured
• Explore raw materials and the role ingredients play in formulation
• Learn how perfumers build and refine a scent
• Engage in open Q&A with the perfumers - no question is off-limits
To put your nose to the test, each guest will be challenged to identify 12 fragrance lab samples. The attendee with the most correct answers will receive a $300 in-store credit to Commodity’s SoHo store.
In addition to celebrating International Fragrance Day, this master class also recognizes International Women’s Day (3/8), honoring the creativity, accomplishments, and leadership of women in perfumery.
