Do you have a young person in your life who has been asking for a sewing machine or how to use one? This class is perfect to help beginners get started on their sewing journey! Over the course of two sessions, students will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, and create their own tote bag.
This class is offered to ages 7 -11.
Class session 1: Learn basic functions of the sewing machine, practice stitching on paper and fabric, create the patchwork pocket for your tote bag.
Class session 2: Practice threading the sewing machine, changing ststich styles, creating decorative designs with thread. Assemble tote bag with handles and the pocket created in session 1.
Class Cancellation Policy
Class registrations are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a later date or different class.
Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded in full.
Supplies Provided: All supplies and tools are provided for this class, including fabric and sewing machines.
