In this 4 session sew-along, we will assemble the Sauvie Sundress from Sew House Seven, and learn a variety of helpful techniques applicable to a variety of sewing projects. The sessions will be 2 hours each for weeks 1 - 3 and 3 hours for session 4.
Students should be comfortable using a sewing machine for basic projects. If you are unfamiliar with determining your garment size and reading a sewing pattern, please take our classes Sewing Level 3: Using a Pattern & Sewing Level 4: Intro To Garments Workshop.
Supplies Needed:
BEFORE CLASS: Depending on the size and style of Sauvie you choose, you will need to buy between 3.5 to 6 yards of woven, non-stretch fabric. Matching thread, and the Sauvie Sundress Pattern by Sew House Seven available in store or as a PDF online at sewhouse7.com, elastic if needed and interfacing. Any supplies purchased at Craft Habit receive a 10% discount.
Purchase, wash, and dry your fabric
Purchase your pattern; print and assemble it if needed.
Cut your fabric and interfacing in the pattern pieces corresponding to your size.
If you are unfamiliar with determining your garment size and reading a sewing pattern, please take our classes Sewing Level 3: Using a Pattern & Sewing Level 4: Intro To Garments Workshop prior to this Level 5 class.
If you need a space to cut fabric, or want a little guidance, you may attend the Fabric Cutting Open Studio for an additional $20.

Supplies Provided: Sewing machine, ironing board, cutting mats, and a sewing toolkit for use in class.
This class is open to students age 12+.
Class Requirements
Prerequisite: Sewing Level 1 and at least one session of Sewing Level 2, Sewing Level 3: Using A Pattern, and Sewing Level 4: Intro To Garments Workshop at Craft Habit, or equivalent experience. Students must be comfortable setting up & threading a sewing machine, sewing with consistent seam allowances, and have basic understanding of using a pattern.

Cancellation Policy
Class registrations are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in class. Please let us know their name in advance of class starting.
Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded in full.
