Help shape library programs for you! Join us to discuss and contribute ideas for services and programs for youth in the library.
Are you between the ages of 13-18, want to earn community involvement hours, build leadership skills and meet new friends? If so, come join us at the library and become a member of the Youth Idea Engine.
Youth Idea Engine meets one Tuesday a month from 6pm – 7:30pm. New members are always welcome and snacks are always available ! What is Youth Idea Engine? It is a group of youth who volunteer and attend meetings to discuss and contribute ideas for services and programs for youth in the library.
• Help develop, plan and implement programs for youth.
• Support the Youth Idea Engine and library through marketing and outreach initiatives.
• Share input about new collections and suggest titles.
• Read YA fiction books and write reviews.
• Help create a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
-Inspire other youth to become life-long library users.
-Help build valuable skills like time management, marketing, project management and public speaking.
All you need to bring are your ideas!
Registration encouraged. Drop-in welcome. Ages 13 – 18 years.
