Youth Forum 2026

Councillor Yvonne Weldon is hosting the Youth Forum 2026 to give local young people the opportunity to learn about local government from local leaders, collaborate with peers on policy writing, and pitch their ideas to a panel of elected representatives.

The forum is aimed at young people who don't often put their hand up or who have lost faith in the system, giving them the chance to share their ideas and concerns with elected representatives directly.

Each school and youth service can register up to three young people to attend the forum. The forum will be hosted at Sydney Town Hall - attendees will have the chance to pitch their policy ideas in Council Chambers.

Attending the forum is free and will be fully catered.
