A Youth Acting Class for students age 10-13 is set for Monday, July 15 through Friday, July, 19 from 1-4 p.m. In this 5-day intensive acting class, students will have fun with theater games, explore improv skills and dive into some scene study work. This beginning-level class builds acting skills and culminates with a performance on that Friday.
Class instructor, Jay Dickerson, teaches at River Ridge High School; writes and directs the Galena Cemetery Walk; and has acted in several radio shows at the Center. Dickerson has a bachelor of arts degree in English and Speech, Communications, and Theater from Monmouth College; and a master of arts in English Education from Western Governors University.
