Ben Bumgarner Bio
State Representative Ben Bumgarner represents House District 63 in southern Denton County. A lifelong North Texan and resident of Flower Mound, Ben began his public service on the Flower Mound Town Council, where he also served as Mayor Pro Tem, before being elected to the Texas House in 2022.
A small-business owner and firearms manufacturer, he brings real-world experience to the Capitol as he works to advance conservative, pro-business, and pro-family policies.
He and his wife, Mindy, are Austin College alumni, and they reside in Flower Mound with their daughter, Cecelia—and a few four-legged family members.
Andy Hopper Bio
Andy Hopper owns a small farm in Wise County and serves as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Texas State Guard. He has a master's degree in Computer Science and has taught as an adjunct professor at UNT. He has worked in the private sector and defense industry as a software engineer for the last twenty-eight years.
Andy and his wife, Amanda, homeschooled their 3 sons, Grant, Sam, and Ian. They welcomed their first daughter-in-law into the family in December, 2023, and became grandparents to a granddaughter in March, 2025.
Andy ran to represent Texas House District 64 because he’s tired of the Texas House
growing government, ceding power to democrats, refusing to protect our state
sovereignty, and failing to secure the southern border.
