Join us for the fourth annual “𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺” 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 at Into the Garden at The Shops at Clearfork!
This community-driven event invites the public to donate new and gently loved formal wear and accessories to help ensure every student has the opportunity to experience the magic of prom, regardless of financial circumstances.
Led by Christy Dunaway Smith, creator of SoFortWorthIt, along with Gloria Vazquez Starling, Erma Lee, Lynn Hammer, Grayson Shackelford and a committee of generous volunteers, we are collecting everything a teen might need for their special night, including 𝗴𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀, 𝘁𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗱𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀, 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀, 𝗷𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘂𝗽.
But the impact goes far beyond prom. Donations benefit 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 and 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, which provides gowns for military and first responders, as well as prom dresses for teens in need. Grayson Shackelford leads our collection of tuxedos and suits for high school students attending prom and homecoming.
Launched in 2022 with just two weeks of planning, the first drive collected more than 350 gowns. Since then, more than 1,000 formal dresses have been donated, giving beautiful fashion a second chance to shine.
And this isn’t your typical donation drop-off! In the spirit of prom, we turn the afternoon into a celebration and thank you to everyone who gives. Enjoy festive decor, a live DJ, professional photographer, food, libations and more.
