A Digital Strategy leadership briefing for CEOs, directors and trustees of purpose-led organisations.
About this Event

How confidently could you explain your digital strategy beyond your website? When did you last make a digital decision that wasn't reactive? If your board asked what digital, data and AI mean for your organisation over the next three years, what would you tell them?

If your organisation feels confident about digital strategy because the website is strong, this session explores how digital reaches well beyond it - into data, technology and how donors, supporters, members and beneficiaries engage with you.

Most organisations are moving quickly. Websites are being rebuilt, AI is being adopted, new platforms are going in. Far fewer have a current strategy setting the direction for any of it. The Charity Digital Skills Report 2026 puts the proportion of charities with a digital strategy at 28%, down sharply on previous years.

This briefing is about closing that gap.

Who this event is designed for

This is a leadership event. It has been designed for the people who set direction. The discussion assumes you can act on what you take away.

It is aimed at:

  • Chief Executives and Directors
  • Chief Operating Officers and Directors of Operations
  • Finance Directors and CFOs
  • Directors of Fundraising, Membership or Engagement
  • Directors of Services and Programmes
  • CIOs, CDOs and Directors of Digital or Technology
  • Trustees and board members with a digital, data or technology remit

What the afternoon covers

  • How digital advancements are changing the way your services are delivered, and what it takes to lead that change rather than react to it
  • What it would take to make full use of the rich digital data your organisation now produces, and to get it in front of the people who can act on it
  • How to engage in real-time digital spaces where your audiences expect an instant response, while maintaining the blended, offline relationships many supporters and beneficiaries still rely on
  • How AI is reshaping how you are found, how your teams work and the experience your audiences have with your organisation

Adapta sets out what has changed, where the gaps sit between digital, engagement, service delivery and the back office, and what it takes to lead this agenda. Structured discussion runs through the afternoon, so you share your own thoughts alongside other organisations in the room rather than listening to presentations.

It is particularly relevant if your organisation is:

  • Treating the website as the centre of its digital plans, with data, technology and service delivery handled separately
  • Preparing a digital, data or AI strategy, or refreshing one that has fallen behind
  • Investing in AI or automation without clear ownership of the data underneath it
  • Producing more digital data than it can act on, with insight sitting away from the teams making decisions
  • Unclear on who owns digital decisions across engagement, service delivery and the back office.

Tickets

Standard rate is £149 including refreshments. Bring a colleague from your leadership team for £99. Book by 11th September for 20% off the standard rate.
