Western Music Recital
The Young Talent Concert series, now in its 37th year, presents five young pianists who are carving a niche for themselves in the world of music.
Palak Chauhan, 17, with an ATCL in piano, began her musical journey at the age of five under her music teachers Dr. Surojeet Chatterjee and Niteen Dongare. She has performed at various international venues and has won several awards including The Global Kids Achievers Award, Child Prodigy Award, National Icon Award and IWA Music Award.
Yashb Gunasekar, 23, a student of Natalia Kapylova, completed his BA (Honours) in Music from Middlesex University, London. He has given piano recitals and has accompanied several instrumentalists.
Yuvraj Kokkili, 16, is a pianist and has completed ALCM and DipLCM with high distinction under the guidance of Astrea Fernandes. Kokkili is a music-tech enthusiast and an award-winning performer with international recognition. He actively contributes to global performances, philanthropy and innovative music projects.
Azriela Maben, 23, completed her ATCL in piano under the guidance of Natalia Kapylova. She also plays the clarinet and percussion. She is the manager and a faculty member at Natalia Piano Studio in Bengaluru.
Kiara Soares, 16, is an avid musician and has completed her ATCL in piano under the guidance of Freda Soares. She has an ABRSM Grade 5 Distinction in cello and is a self-taught guitarist. Soares has won several awards in Thailand and Vietnam. She has her own YouTube channel Kiara Soares Music.
The programme comprises works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Gershwin, Khachaturian, Lecuona, Liszt, Mozart, Rachmaninoff and Ravel.
