Art Labs is a series of artist-led workshops connecting young audiences with artists, artmaking and the National Gallery’s collection.
In this Art Lab, join artist Sally Black to create your own travel journal. Experiment with sketching and watercolour painting as you bring your travel stories and observations to life.
The workshop will begin with a guided tour of the exhibition Ethel Carrick. Known for her vibrant post-impressionist landscapes and observations of everyday life, Ethel Carrick (1872–1952) painted throughout her extensive travels across Australia, Europe, North Africa and India.
All artmaking materials provided.
