Young Naperville Singers
Now in its 41st season, Young Naperville Singers (YNS) is a nationally recognized youth choral organization dedicated to excellence in music and personal growth. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Angie Johnson, YNS provides extraordinary educational, performance, and leadership opportunities, with a mission to enrich lives through choral excellence and community engagement.
Joseph Gallwas, Piano
A Chicagoland native and rising star in the classical music world, Joseph Gallwas is the first-prize winner of the 2025 DSO Young Artists Auditions. A seasoned performer, Joseph first played at Carnegie Hall at age 9 and has since performed concertos with orchestras across the U.S. and Italy. Most recently, he was the Open Senior overall winner in the O'Malley Foundation Competition, placed fourth in the International Young Artists Concerto Competition, and advanced to the final round of the CSO Crain-Maling Competition, where he will perform with the Civic Orchestra at Orchestra Hall.
A featured soloist on WFMT’s Introductions program, Joseph is studying with Jeff Panko, Mary Sauer, and Sean Bennett at New Music School, and has performed in masterclasses with esteemed artists such as Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Steven Osborne, and Dang Thai Son.
