Young Artists OSE Artist Enclave Series: Cyanotype Printing

You must enter at the back of the building. We'll be in the Annex. We'll have a feather flag and signs for direction!
Create your own original sun-printed piece to take home with Jim Santamor (@jimsantamour), a member of Old Southeast Artist Enclave. Cyanotype printing is a historic photographic process that uses sunlight and iron‑based chemistry to create rich Prussian blue images. Objects or transparencies are placed on sensitized paper, exposed to UV light, and then simply rinsed in water to reveal the final print. It’s an accessible, hands‑on technique perfect for exploring alternative photography, botanical prints, and experimental art.
Registration Details: Pre-registration encouraged, FREE event, for OSE residents only, children’s age 5-12, register at [email protected]
Young Artists Program was launched in 2025 as an initiative designed to connect children with professional artists living in Old Southeast. The Program was awarded with the City of St. Petersburg Level Up 2025 and 2026 Arts Grant.
