YORKSHIRE WOLDS WAY - Millington to Huggate
About this Event
Millington to Huggate | 11 Miles (17.7km) | Approx. 5–6 Hours | Elevation Gain: ~504m
Grade: Moderate
This September, we're returning to one of Yorkshire's best-kept secrets, the Yorkshire Wolds Way.
One of the UK's official National Trails, the Yorkshire Wolds Way offers a completely different experience to the mountains and coastlines many hikers are familiar with. Expect rolling chalk hills, peaceful valleys, wide open views and a sense of tranquillity that's increasingly hard to find.
In partnership with National Trails UK, this guided hike takes us through the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, beginning in Millington and journeying towards Huggate, Yorkshire's highest village.
The route follows beautiful sections of the National Trail through classic Wolds countryside, with long-distance views, quiet paths and a landscape shaped by centuries of farming and history.
We'll stop for a relaxed lunch break at St Mary's Guild in Huggate before continuing our journey through this unique and often overlooked corner of Yorkshire.
While there are no major mountain ascents, participants should still expect a full day on their feet, with a mixture of undulating terrain, field tracks and steady climbs.
As always, our hikes are fully guided, inclusive and open to anyone looking to experience the outdoors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
