PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE:
Tai Chi combines postures or forms with slow, gentle, flowing movements, deep breathing and mindfulness.
In yoga, the postures or forms (or asanas) may be held or used as part of a flow, or slow, gentle movements, and are often encouraged to be combined with mindfulness and deep breathing.
Join us at Shao-Lin Martial Arts Training Center to go deeper into the forms in the I Chin Ching, and learn how yoga and tai chi practices overlap and enhance one another.
I Chin Ching forms will be taught by Sifu Jason Knapp, Head instructor and owner of Shao-Lin. The yoga portion will be incorporated and taught by Michelle Waters of Weird Flex Yoga.
Intensity Level: Gentle-Medium, depending on your own choices for your practice in class.
Theme: Tai Chi Introduction, Yoga Combination Class
Indoors/Outdoors: Indoors
Cost: $20
Sensory Notes: This space uses fluorescent lighting, and may get warmer in the warmer weather.
What else to bring: Please bring water and any props you may enjoy using, and dress for comfort/movement. The practice space is padded, so a mat may not be necessary.
Parking: Parking is plentiful and free. Shao-Lin is tucked behind The Walk-In Closet Thrift Store.
We ask that if you do take photos in class, you make sure everyone in the photos wants to be and gives you permission to do so.
We do not offer refunds or credits for classes, but your reservation can be transferred to another student by you, for the same class you've reserved a spot for. Thank you for understanding.
