Learn how to use movement and mindfulness to calm your nervous system before a date and show up as your best self.
About this Event

In this trauma-informed workshop, a yoga therapy apprentice and a conscious dating coach will help you release tension from the dating game and prepare your nervous system for your next date. Their healing yet playful exercises will include breathwork, self-massage, vivid visualizations, and a gentle sequence of yoga poses (asanas).


<h4>All are welcome.</h4>

No yoga or dating experience necessary!

This workshop welcomes people of all body shapes and sizes, all genders, and all sexual orientations. It's also inclusive of alternative relationship structures.

  • Feels dragged down by dating apps
  • Gets nervous before/on a date
  • Beats themselves up after a date
  • Overthinks texting
  • Doesn’t know what they want in dating or relationships

  • Get clear on what you want in dating and relationships
  • Soothe pre-date jitters
  • Foster compassion for yourself and others
  • Gently open your heart if you’re ready, and safely protect your heart if that feels best
  • Empower yourself to show up as your most vibrant, authentic (and maybe even flirty) self on your next date

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy combines yoga and counseling to improve wellbeing. It's a holistic approach that uses asanas, breathwork, meditation, and Ayurvedic techniques to address an individual's physical, mental, and emotional needs.

Yoga therapy helps people tune into what their bodies are communicating to them. Ultimately, it can improve mood, decrease chronic pain, and release trauma — which may be stored in the body as stuck energy. Learn more about what a yoga therapist does.



What is Conscious Dating?

Both yoga therapy and conscious dating techniques help you identify conscious and unconscious blocks that keep you from living the life you want.

Conscious dating tools help you:

  • Identify the obvious ways you hold yourself back — like hiding yourself from, or being quick to reject, potential dates.
  • Uncover unconscious blocks — the deeper parts of your psyche that leave you triggered and keep you in unhealthy dating patterns.

The goal of conscious dating is to bring all these parts into awareness, integrate them with radical acceptance, and transform them into strengths. Learn more about what a conscious dating coach does.


About the Yoga Therapy Apprentice

Brooke Pierson is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) and a holistic yoga therapy apprentice with PIES Fitness Yoga Studio. With her past experiences serving in the military and as a police officer, Brooke uses the healing practices of yoga to support people who have a history of trauma and PTS (with a focus on post-traumatic growth). She also helps people with anxiety, depression, compassion fatigue/burnout, chronic pain, codependency, insomnia, and mobility impairments, just to name a few.

About the Dating Coach

Ms. Miriam Diana is a conscious sex, dating, and relationship coach. She earned her coaching certification through the Vital Integrated Tantric Approach (VITA) Institute, which is run by sacred sexuality expert Layla Martin. She’s also a journalist, performance artist, consent educator, trained cuddle practitioner, and yoga instructor (RYT-200).
