A community and sisterhood, dedicated to the inclusion, appreciation and empowerment of Black Women through curated wellness events.

The Event:

Join for a special all levels yoga class, followed by a therapeutic sound bath.

A sound bath, also known as sound healing, is a therapeutic meditative experience intended to encourage a sense of ease and deep relaxation throughout the body.

Meet Your Instructor: Marlene is passionate about many things, however her greatest joys and inspirations have been found while creating and holding supportive space for others. This passion led has led toward the field of education, where she has worked as a classroom teacher for over to 18 years. Presently, Marlene is employed full time as the Yoga & Meditation Teacher at The Advent School in Boston’s historic Beacon Hill neighborhood (where she served on the Social Justice Task Force for 4 years, assisting with the reforming of our schools mission, in addition to co-creating, co-launching, and presently co-facilitating our schools first Students of Color Affinity Groups).

Marlene aims to use movement, stillness and sound to encourage restoration, joy and healing within communities of all backgrounds, ages and abilities, especially those inhabited by people with diverse identities.

Marlene has been recognized by The Boston Globe, Lululemon and Getaway House for my contributions to community, and has collaborated with various agencies, organizations and institutions such as Paramount, Nickelodeon, Spotify, The Yoga Alliance, Harvard University, M.I.T, Broad Institute, Emerson College, The Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Public Schools, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and more.
