Yoga Nidra : Resting Presence
About this Event
In a world that constantly asks us to do more, Yoga Nidra offers something different, a chance to simply rest.
Each session combines guided Yoga Nidra with gentle sound, creating a deeply restful experience that invites the body to soften, the nervous system to settle, and awareness to expand naturally.
Often called yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra gently guides you into a state of deep physical relaxation while your awareness remains softly present. As the body settles, the nervous system begins to unwind, the mind becomes quieter, and a sense of spaciousness naturally emerges.
This practice is ideal for:
✨ Anyone seeking deep rest and restoration
✨ Reiki practitioners wishing to deepen subtle awareness and energy flow
✨ Those looking to cultivate greater presence, clarity and inner balance
There is nothing to achieve and nowhere to get to. Simply lie back, listen, and allow yourself to be guided.
The result? A deeply rested body, a calmer mind, and a renewed sense of presence that can stay with you long after the practice has ended.
Step into Resting Presence and experience the quiet power of deep rest, where body and mind can settle while awareness gently remains.
What to Bring
To make your Yoga Nidra experience as restful as possible, bring:
- Yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on
- 2 pillows or cushions (one for your head, one under your knees)
- Eye pillow or light scarf to gently cover your eyes
- 1–2 blankets to stay cosy as your body relaxes
Wear whatever feels comfortable, leggings, jeans, whatever helps you rest. The studio is shoe-free, so socks are a good idea.
The most important thing is that you’re warm and comfortable! 💜
Directions to the Studio
Old School Yoga Studio – CV37 8NG
- If you know the shop and café in Preston on Stour, the studio is next door.
- Heading from Stratford along Shipston Road, look for the turning on the right near the Alscot Estate.
- Follow Preston Lane, cross the little bridge, and round the bend. The village hall will be on your right; the studio driveway is next to the village hall parking cut-out (small wooden sign at the entrance).
- The driveway is narrow, but there is parking at the rear of the studio. Some people park on the road too, it’s quiet and safe.
Important: Please do not use the Village Hall car park, it’s reserved for village hall events.
What time does it start?
It starts at 6.30pm but I am always there early so do come along earlier to give yourself time to settle in. Most people arrive 10mins before the start.
