Yoga, Meditation and Sound Day Retreat - Sept 2024

Welcome to our Yoga, Meditation and Sound Day Retreat!

Join us for a day of relaxation and rejuvenation at The Gasworks Sudbury.

This is a day that is all about you - to be nurtured and cared for - for a change!

Your body and mind will be nurtured with Yoga, Breath Work, Mindfulness, Guided Meditation and Sound.
This is an opportunity to disconnect from devices, family, caring and work responsibilities and reconnect with yourself and your fellow Retreaters!
Everyone is welcome (no yoga experience is necessary) - the aim of our yoga sessions is about de-stressing and re-setting the nervous system, not doing anything fancy or complicated. Options to make things easier or harder will be given and if you would like to take a break, feel free to lie there and breathe and listen to the music..... and of course there will be everyone's favourite bit - the aromatherapy neck massages!
The Gasworks is THE IDEAL venue for the day as the Gasworks room is a beautiful light airy space, and we have underfloor heating (yay), so when we are spending a lot of time lying down this is essential to help us keep cosy and comfortable! We also have a separate area for lunch which is great as we can leave everything where it is and troop into the next room for our sit down lunch.
A rough agenda for the day is as follows -
10:45am - Arrive and settle in with a drink and get comfy!
11:00am - Nurturing flow yoga practice (a gentle mainly floor based flow)
12:00noon - Yoga Nidra (guided meditation)
12:45pm - Lunch
2:15pm - Yin Yoga (long held floor poses using props and gravity)
3:45pm - Drink/ snack break
4:00pm - Sound Bath
5:00pm - Final goodbyes before you float home feeling dreamily relaxed!

Please note:
- A FREE lunch homemade by me will be provided. It will be a healthy vegetarian Quinoa salad, then for balance we will finish with homemade cake! Please let me know if you have any special dietary requirements.
- The sound bath is not suitable if you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or are pregnant.
- There are no refunds unless the event is cancelled. If you are unable to attend you are able to gift your space to someone else.
