Yiddish Meet-Up with Alona Bach

Alona Bach is currently the David Berg Fellow at the Tenement Museum. She earned her PhD from MIT's Doctoral Program in History/Anthropology/Science, Technology, and Society (HASTS), where her dissertation focused on discourse around electric lights in the pre-1939 Yiddish press. As a Yiddish instructor, Alona has taught at institutions including Brandeis, Oberlin, YIVO, and the Boston Workers' Circle, and was a 2022-3 Yiddish Book Center Translation Fellow and Pedagogy Fellow.
