Yes, Let's Learn Improv! with Bryan & Ciorstaidh at Alcove Beltline

Yes, Let's Learn Improv! is an improv workshop designed to help beginner and intermediate improvisers practice their skills in a welcoming environment. Bryan Sandberg and Ciorstaidh Reid from the Kinkonauts Conservatory will lead attendees through a series of games and exercises which will build confidence and improvisation skills. If you are interested in growing as an improviser or even if you haven't tried improv before and you want to check it out, this workshop is for you!

Workshops are recommended for people ages 18 and over.

The workshop is pay what you can! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

*There are steps to the entrance, therefore, the space is not wheelchair accessible.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS:

Bryan Sandberg is an actor, stand up comedian, and improviser. His improv experience includes training with the Kinkonauts as well as co-coordinating his university improv troupe, 11:07. He is passionate about seeing performers grow in their craft and is excited to share his experience with beginner and intermediate improvisers.

Ciorstaidh began her improv journey in junior high and it has followed her all the way through life, including teaching it at her university. Originally from the UK with proud Scottish roots, she moved to Calgary where she works in medical education. Very soon after her arrival here Ciorstaidh involved herself in theatre and improv and has had the privilege to be a part of many shows. Anime Revolution (The 404's); War Brides (Unicorn Collective); Kensuke's Kingdom (Storybook); and more. Catch her in upcoming Kinkonauts shows, including Sunday Showcase's and in May a Wes Anderson style show. Ciorstaidh looks forward to giving performers their courage to jump up and say "yes, and".
