Join His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng, our Root Guru, as he leads group practice at Seattle Lei Tsang Si Temple. This week, it'll be Yellow Jambhala who is the meditational deity. Yellow Jambhala is most famous for being the richest deity in the heavens with great generosity, but he has many other reasons for us to treasure our affinity with him. He is an 8th level bodhisattva due to his vows and actions to protect and uphold the dharma.
His elder sons, Samjnaya, Manibhadra and Nalakubera lead the Yaksha armies whose retinue numbers billions and who displayed awesome might when the Asuras attacked the heavens. They form an important wing of Lord Indra's retinue and are sent to the human realm during "Heavenly Patrolling" days, when they check upon the deeds of humans and report it back to Indra's kingdom.
Since he is close to our realm, it's considered a dharma which is very responsive and many practitioners testify to windfalls or other good fortune arriving from practicing it. And with Grandmaster leading, we can be certain Yellow Jambhala will descend to hear our prayers.
