##
Lainey is at loose ends. After her parents split and her twin brother moves cross-country to live with their dad, she struggles to cope.
Meanwhile, Bliss, an influencer with thousands of followers, has problems of her own: with friends, her crush, and more. Via DM, the pair connect. But as they message back and forth -- as with so many interactions that happen online -- much is lost in translation. Ultimately, there comes a reckoning, prompting each young woman to confront her own unique experience of the friendship and consider how much is too much when it comes to sharing intimate details about one's life with Internet strangers.
From coping with loneliness and self-doubt to navigating growing up in the digital age, explores themes that all teens and their parents will recognize. We hope you'll join us on Thursday, August 21, at 6:30pm as we welcome YA author Sarah Darer Littman for a Q&A moderated by Kim Rihel, PT, MPH, of the Milford Prevention Council, about the challenges today's teens face when it comes to setting boundaries online.
This is a free event, but please reserve your spot. Books will be available for purchase and signing onsite.
