A fantastic opportunity to see a stunning sunrise from the summit of Y Garn mountain in Eryi/Snowdonia! Views over the beautiful Ogwen Valley, the Glyderau range including Tryfan, plus Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon and the Carneddau range make this probably the best place in the Welsh mountains to see the sunrise.
Y Garn is 947m high and is a great peak to hike up and down which includes going past Llyn Idwal and hiking up through the iconic Devil's Kitchen route before reaching the summit and then down by the North East Ridge to Ogwen. It's a fantastic hike, especially with the sunrise.
We will meet at Ogwen (LL57 3LZ) and start the hike just after 2.30am on Saturday morning, reaching the summit for the 5.30am sunrise and then back down to finish by approx. 8am. ready for a well-deserved breakfast. Fully guided throughout (Rating 3)
