⛰️ A full-day mountain adventure across one of Eryri’s wildest landscapesThis is the kind of mountain day that stays with you.
A rugged, dramatic journey through the heart of the Glyderau — where shattered rock, jagged skylines, and glacial valleys create one of the most striking landscapes in all of Eryri. It’s wild, exposed, and endlessly photogenic… the sort of place that feels ancient the moment you step into it.
We’ll move through a landscape shaped by fire and ice, climbing steadily from the Ogwen Valley onto high ground where the terrain becomes otherworldly. Expect big climbs, rocky paths, sweeping views, and that unmistakable feeling of being properly in the mountains.
This is a challenging, committing day — but one that rewards every step with incredible scenery, shared effort, and a strong sense of achievement.

🌄 About the Glyderau & Cwm Idwal
The Glyderau are among the oldest mountains in the UK, formed over 500 million years ago in a dramatic geological upheaval that once created peaks rivaling the Himalayas.
Over time, glaciers carved out the landscape we see today — leaving behind the dramatic cwms, ridges, and shattered rock formations that make this area so distinctive.
Cwm Idwal, designated a National Nature Reserve in 1954, is renowned for its rare arctic-alpine plants and rich wildlife, all set within one of the most striking glacial valleys in the UK.
