DATE: Friday 7:30am, November 27, 2026

TIME and LOCATION: Meet at 7:20am (see parking location below). We will begin hiking promptly at 7:30 am. Estimated time to finish the hike is roughly 5.5 hours at 1pm, but distance achieved and speed/pace will ultimately depend upon the groups pace as this is a leave no one behind hike and we move as a group.

DESCRIPTION OF HIKE:

9.1 miles, 1062 feet elevation gain on a moderate rocky loop trail. The hike begins at First Water Trailhead starting along the Dutchman Trail (#104) before connecting with the Second Water Trail (#236). After traveling through a beautiful desert landscape, join the Black Mesa Trail (#241) as it passes Black Mesa and reconnects with the Dutchman Trail after crossing West Boulder Canyon.
