Group Hike with Beer Barn Fitness Club

Join us for a group hike!
The weather's perfect to get outside on the trails. All are welcome, so join us for a moderate hike on Sunday, November 15th!
We will meet at the First Water Horse Trailhead Horse Lot at 7:00am and plan to begin the hike at 7:30am. We will be hiking a version of the Hackberry Springs Loop (roughly 6 miles) which is considered to be an easy to moderate trail (total elevation gain of 700ft) The trail loop is ocated in the Superstition Wilderness.
What should you expect?
Beautiful scenery with a quick stop at abandoned First Water Ranch. Hackberry spring which is a natural spring with a very small pool. The terrain is diverse, uneven & remote. This hike should take 3-4 hours at a moderate pace, even with stops.
What should you bring?
A backpack loaded with the essentials, such as, sunscreen, water (3 liters recommended), first aid kit, snack and beverages, layers and possibly a rain jacket depending on the weather forecast. If you wish, maybe some hiking poles to help with stability. Hiking shoes or boots are recommended.
We also encourage you to bring some layers for Arizona's changing weather. (Jacket, Long Sleeve, ect) A pair of sun glasses or even a hat wouldn't hurt either!
Our crew leading the hike are experienced hikers and are familiar with trail's terrain but every person is responsible for themselves and must not rely on hike leaders for their own well-being and decision making.
Everyone must sign the waiver before participating, so please download from the link below and bring a signed copy with you.
This is a wilderness area and all wilderness laws including leave no trace apply. We will pack out all trash (water bottles, snack wrappers, orange peels, etc)

After we complete our hike, we'll head back to Beer Barn in Gilbert for those who are interested!
