The Roll and Stroll is an event to raise awareness for the fatal disease ALS. ALS is an insidious neurological disease that takes away a persons ability to function and inevitably makes it impossible for those diagnosed to even breath on there own and has a mortality rate of 100%.
This event will rase money for families living with ALS in West Virginia. Currently, there is a lack of funding in this state for research. There are very few resources for the families to receive help with medical equipment and other associated costs. ALS care can cost up to 250 thousand dollars yearly for each patient and their families.
