We're hugely excited to be bringing the fantastic Would-be-goods to our Oxford Store on 30th July 2026, to celebrate the release of their latest album "Tears Before Bedtime" out on Skep Wax.
Since "The Camera Loves Me", their 1988 debut for the legendary él Records, Would-be-goods have trodden a unique musical path, slipping between classic 1960s pop and more unusual influences - French chanson, music hall, 1930s dance bands, and garage rhythm & blues. Their latest album was recorded in London with Jessica Griffin on guitar and vocals, Peter Momtchiloff (Heavenly) on guitar, Debbie Greensmith (Thee Headcoatees et al) on drums, and cult figure Andy Warren (Adam and the Ants, the Monochrome Set) on bass.
