Local historian Carla Fjeld will present “World War II: The Home Front,” on Thursday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m. Those at home in the United States faced many challenges during the war, including blackouts and shortages. Fjeld will share how Brown County residents responded to these challenges with rationing, scrap drives, and sheer grit. Fjeld's presentation was created while volunteering for Brown County Historical Society. This free program is open to the public; no registration is required.
