Join us for a free, family-friendly World Migratory Bird Day celebration!Taking place during Free Fourth Saturday at the Station, Illinois Art Station and community partners will offer a variety of hands-on activities and art-making opportunities related to local migratory birds.
Explore the Illinois Art Station grounds and neighboring natural areas off the Constitution Trail to learn about and spot local wildlife. Event partners include Grand Prairie Bird Alliance, Illinois State University, IL Extension & Master Gardeners, Ecology Action Center, Miller Park Zoo, The Children’s Discovery Museum, and Town of Normal Parks and Recreation.
World Migratory Bird Day is a worldwide celebration that takes place biannually on the second Saturdays in May during spring migration (May 9, 2026) and in October (October 10, 2026) to raise awareness for migratory birds and their habitats.
Celebrate migratory birds through art, nature and interactive experiences!
