Every Friday evening, World Citizens of London gather at the most amazing weekly meetup for expats and international professionals (+ anyone aspiring to be).
- We're a safe, diverse and supportive community for global people in London who wish to meet, share perspectives and discover new cultures.
- We plan a range of different activities, including regular weekly socials, dining events, walks, trips, sports, debates and more fun activities.
- Our weekly Friday Socials feature a mix of casual/informal networking and structured group discussions. Everyone is expected to introduce themselves and speak during the group activities.
- We're 100% volunteer-run and aim to keep our events warm, safe, friendly and non-commercial. You can help us, too!

- Be present and participate actively.
- Drink responsibly (alcohol is no excuse for bad behaviour).
2. Enter our ticket lottery
We are a very large community - 100,000+ across different platforms - and our Friday Social is our most popular event. In order to get a fair and balanced mix of participants every Friday (newcomers and regulars, different professional backgrounds, cultures, etc.) we run a ticket lottery:
- You enter the lottery by getting a ticket here on Eventbrite.
- We run the lottery multiple times until just before the event.
- If you are drawn, you will receive an e-mail with the secret venue.
- If not, please try again next Friday.
- Gaming our rules or the lottery will get you blacklisted.
3 . Our invitation e-mail
Our venue changes every week - more details will be emailed to you after you signed up for the lottery
I MPORTANT
We are a 100% volunteer-run team. Despite careful planning and structure this is a private informal activity, so we cannot be liable for any damage or inconvenience. However, we put safety and comfort first. We take all complaints seriously, and take severe action against any form of harassment, verbal or non-verbal, and anti-social behaviour. We collaborate with the police if needed. We take photos and videos which may include you to help promote the community in line with GDPR Data Protection law, as well as stock photos from Pexels or Unsplash. We may restrict or prioritize guests at our own discretion for safety, quality and logistics reasons. While our admin decisions may not always be perfect we ask that you follow our decisions first and raise any disputes to discuss with us later and privately. By attending you understand, agree with and respect all terms of this disclaimer.
We also run smaller and ad-hoc events. Find them all on our meetup page https://www.meetup.com/worldcitizen/
