Tara Breen is a highly acclaimed Irish musician and a celebrated figure in the world of traditional Irish music. Born and raised in County Clare, a region renowned for its vibrant musical heritage, Tara developed a deep connection to Irish music from a young age. Her mastery of the fiddle and her passion for traditional tunes have earned her widespread recognition, both at home in Ireland and on the international stage. Tara Breen will be conducting the fiddle workshop.
Jim Murray is one of the world’s leading traditional Irish guitar players. Born into a musical family in County Cork, Jim’s early years were spent immersed in Irish music. At the age of three, Jim could play melodies on the piano and a year later, discovered his first love – the button accordion. For over twenty years Jim has been touring, performing and recording with artists such as Sharon Shannon, Sinead O’Connor, Steve Earl, Shane McGowan, Seamus Begley, Mike McGoldrick, Altan and Mary Black. Jim Murray will be conducting the Irish Guitar Workshop.
Pádraig Rynne, hailing from the rich musical landscape of County Clare, Ireland, is a highly acclaimed concertina player, composer, and producer known for pushing the boundaries of traditional Irish music. From an early age, Rynne demonstrated extraordinary talent, winning five All-Ireland concertina titles by the time he was just 17. A visionary in his field, Rynne has played a key role in modernizing Irish traditional music by infusing it with elements of jazz, electronic, and world music. Padraig Rynne will be conducting the Concertina workshop.
