Event Pitch:
By 2050 69% of the world's population will be living in urban areas, 86% in the developed world. This will create pressure on essentials like energy, food, and water. There is an increasing recognition for urban (or protected) agriculture to deal with global food security.
Besides offering assured productivity and produce quality, urban agriculture has potential to contribute for resource conservation, farmer welfare, and youth employment.
In this workshop, we'll go through an overview of the indoor/protected agriculture process and technology innovations for sustainable agriculture production. Learn about key principles of indoor/protected agriculture and assesses its suitability for different environments and value chains.
We believe that the understanding of business model is critical for your growth as a professional or as an entrepreneur in food and agribusiness.
