This half-day workshop blends interactive in-class learning with hands-on practice time with your camera. You’ll learn:
- How a camera works and the different settings you can use to control it
- How to use manual exposure and other settings to get the results you want
- Tips and techniques for more creative control of your photos
This class is limited to 10 students, which allows time for personalized instruction and hands-on learning. Save your spot today!
WHAT TO BRING:
- (Required) A digital camera* with manual exposure modes.
* Please ensure your battery is charged and there is space on your memory card.
- (Optional) Feel free to bring any additional accessories such as lenses, tripod, flash, filters, etc.

- Appropriate for Beginner-Intermediate skill level

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Heron (Colin) Payne is an international-award-winning landscape photographer who has been teaching photography to students of all skill levels for more than a decade. Originally from Newfoundland, Heron spent the past 20 years living in southeastern British Columbia before moving with his family to the Annapolis Valley in 2022. He's also mindfulness meditation teacher who leads group classes and mentors individuals throughout North America.
