This workshop is perfect for anyone aspiring to work as a stage manager or actors, directors, producers or other backstage crew who want to better understand how they can work with a stage manger to make a show run smoothly.
Day 2 (Monday November 18 from 6-8pm) of the stage manager’s workshop will build on what you learned on the first day but is also open to newcomers. Day 2 will work through how to use a stage manager’s script and provide an opportunity for participants to apply the skills they have learned to parts of a mock rehearsal and performance.
Participants should bring clean, indoor footwear and a water bottle.
The workshop is free. All welcome.

ABOUT TRACY SUMMERVILLE
Tracy Summerville grew up in a theatrical family. She studied at The Drama Studio in England and, although she pursued an academic career, her first love has always been the theatre. Tracy is an actor but has a real love for the technical aspects of performance. She began stage managing as a way to get a better understanding of how a production is put together. She feels that having a working knowledge of different aspects of a show makes her a better, more informed actor. Tracy has also directed and produced plays. She recently played Maude in Bakersfield Mist at King’s Theatre and she is Chair of the King’s Theatre Society Board.
