Join Professor Theresa Delgadillo for a talk inspired by the exhibition . This program considers the mythos of the "ideal immigrant" to query portrayals of labor, home, and belonging in Latinx photographic self-representation.
About the speaker:
Theresa Delgadillo is the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor, English and Chican@/Latin@ Studies at UW-Madison. A native of Milwaukee, Prof. Delgadillo is a noted authority on U.S. Latinx spirituality and religion, the African Diaspora and Latinidad, and Latinxs in the Midwest. She is the founder of (2010-2017) and co-founder and current board member of (2017 to present), an interdisciplinary academic open access publication specializing in short-form research.
Free and open to the public. Space is limited – advanced registration is encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome as capacity allows.
