Working Gear Employment Readiness Day

Working Gear Employment Readiness Day

Free clothing, haircuts and support for your next job opportunity.

Thursday, November 12, 2026 | 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Working Gear | 475 Main Street, Vancouver | Units 227, 228

Looking for work or preparing for an interview? Join Working Gear, WorkSafe and Axiom for our second Employment Readiness Day—a free event offering practical support and a welcoming place to ask questions, practise and prepare.

Whether you want feedback on your resume, a chance to practise an interview or clothing for your next opportunity, we’re here to help.

What’s available:

• Free business clothing to help you feel ready for an interview or work.
• Free haircuts.
• Free professional headshots, with 16 appointments available through a separate booking calendar.
• Resume reviews with volunteers, including members of Axiom’s talent acquisition team. Get feedback on how to present your experience and tailor your résumé for local job opportunities.
• Practice interviews in a supportive setting, with time to ask questions and receive feedback.
• Information about workers’ rights from WorkSafeBC.

You don’t need a polished résumé or interview experience to take part. Come as you are. If you’d like a résumé review, please bring your resume.

Registration

Please register for free through Eventbrite. The event runs in a drop-in format between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Headshots require a separate booking. There are just 16 appointments available across the four-hour event. Registering on Eventbrite does not reserve a headshot appointment.
