Hosted by storyteller, Sonia Fernández LeBlanc, the evening will entail poems, stories, and songs by community members and our featured guest performance from Annie Sellick

Annie Sellick, celebrated jazz vocalist and Nashville native, is thrilled to share her personal stories and music with a new audience. Known for her soulful stage presence since high school, Annie's career blossomed as she became Nashville's top jazz artist, touring internationally and performing with legends like Mark O’Connor and Tommy Emmanuel.

While she’s best known for her musical accomplishments, Annie has also been writing since childhood, filling journals with intimate, expressive memoirs. Her style is warm and vivid, capturing everyday life with detail and honesty. Her writing journey includes mentoring young writers through Act Like A Grrrl, a program empowering teen girls to express themselves through writing, music, and dance. Annie now invites listeners into this more personal side of her artistic journey, blending music and stories that bring her world to life.

Doors open at 6:15, show starts at 6:30 pm. All word-lovers and listeners are welcome. We encourage an enthusiastic and warm audience for both our new and seasoned readers/writers.

Participating writers will be asked to arrive early to confirm their spot, bring an appetizer or dessert to share at the event, and remain until it ends at 9 pm in support of the other performers.
